Got a call from our Travelers this morning from the “top of the mountain” in the middle of no where. They have been making great progress despite having no respite from the snow. I asked them how they knew they were still on the trail – because it seems to me it would be tricky with snow covering everything. How silly of me to ask – they are using their compasses and landmarks to gauge their whereabouts. They are really looking forward to getting dry and warm at their next stop in Mammoth… and of course, they are dreaming about food, particularly fresh food. They said that this has been a really hard section – but yet they seem to be making good time.
Here is the terrain of the mountain range they are on today… I like the way the satellite pictures show the wispy clouds. They should be in cell range again in a couple of days. Stay tuned!
